Palihotel San Francisco

The interior design is nice and the staff are friendly. However, there was a strange old odor in the bathroom.

Stayed for two nights. It was my first time staying at a boutique hotel. It is a beautifully maintained historic hotel with wonderful staff. The room was super cute and clean and was well stocked with amenities that you can tell someone put a lot of thought into. Very thoughtfully decorated. The rain shower was SO nice. The little bar on the second floor has a relaxing atmosphere and the wait staff and bar tender were very knowledgeable and friendly. My only complaint was the noise level. I do live out in the country though, so I imagine someone who’s used to city noise outside the window wouldn’t mind. We stay in San Francisco about once a month for a week at a time and used to regularly stay at the Pali. Unfortunately, over time the experience declined, and we switched hotels. Due to availability, we had to stay at the Pali again this week — and it confirmed why we left. Our stay began late in the evening. We had previously dropped off luggage and were told a bassinet would be set up in our room. When we checked in, neither the bassinet nor our luggage was in the room, and the bassinet wasn’t even assembled. There are no phones in the rooms, so I tried calling the front desk from my cell phone seven times with no answer. Truly loved my stay here at Pali Hotel SF. Amazing location right in Union Square, easy to get around and walk everywhere. Staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly. From the clean room to the beautiful aesthetic design of the entire hotel, this is a must stay spot! I will definitely be back.

I’m not usually one to post a review, but I had such a seamless experience during my stay at the Pali Hotel SF! The location of the hotel is so convenient for exploring Chinatown/Union Square/Pier 39! I had never been to SF before, so I wanted to stay somewhere that had lots within walking distance or a short drive. The Front desk staff was incredible and very personable! They were very kind and helped me with any questions I had about the hotel or SF in general. I was traveling alone and I thought the rooms were so tasteful and the perfect size! They were cozy, but had just the right amount of amenities. I was sold on the room when I saw they supplied Diptyque products for the restrooms!
