My husband and I just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We chose the Palace Hotel to be part of the celebration. The service was very good. The hotel is beautiful and has so much history. It felt grand. I was asked when making the celebration if we were celebrating anything special in the Bonvoy app. I mentioned our anniversary. It would’ve been nice to have the hotel acknowledged this during our stay even with a simple note in our room. Of course this did not take away from our trip but it is always nice to be remembered especially since we made the Palace a part of our very special celebration. Our suite was nice and roomy. The Pied Piper bar was beautiful and the bartenders were awesome! Eating in the atrium was a wonderful experience topped off with a wonderful breakfast buffet.

In a city defined by its steep hills and equally steep expectations, The Palace Hotel doesn’t just lean into its storied San Francisco history—it redefines what modern, high-stakes hospitality should look like. While many grand dames of the hospitality world rely on the inertia of their architecture, The Palace is currently operating with a surgical precision and a warmth that is, frankly, rare. The true litmus test for any luxury establishment isn't how they treat the titan of industry, but how they handle the chaotic, unscripted presence of a toddler. The Art of the Welcome From the moment of arrival, the staff bypassed the usual stiff formalities in favor of a genuine, proactive embrace. Celebrating a first birthday is a milestone often fraught with parental anxiety; here, the team anti

The Palace Hotel is beautifully restored and maintained. The staff were very warm and helpful. Our room was spacious but there was very little storage, no drawers or cabinets. The bathroom was smallish but there was plenty of room for toiletries. My only complaint was that it was a little dark, and the water pressure was light. It was a rain shower with light pressure, so difficult to get a good rinse off. Also, the half shower door tended to flood the room. Overall a wonderful stay though.

Beautiful historic hotel. The building maintains the old world majestic vibe while incorporating contemporary touches. The service was excellent. Everyone I encountered anyplace on the property was always friendly, greeted you with a smile and was willing to help. Lidia the wonderful woman who takes care of the fitness center in the morning is a treasure. So kind, helpful and extremely friendly. They need to clone her! She is exceptional when it comes to customer service! We also had a post even team hang at the Pied Piper which is on site as well and Cecy (Cecilia) was our server! After an extremely long day (12+ hours) and some changes she was exactly what we all needed and didn’t know we needed! She was extremely engaging and provided us with one of the most memorable experiences of the

Checked in January 2nd, 2026 - Checked out January 5th 2026||We were on a seventeen day cruise of Hawaii aboard the Ruby Princess, sailing from San Francisco back to San Francisco, and decided to spend a few days after our cruise at the Palace Hotel. It was one of the best decisions we made on this trip.||I truly wish I had gotten the name of the receptionist who checked us in, because he deserves special recognition. He was incredibly kind and welcoming. We had to leave our cruise ship very early, so we arrived at the hotel around 8 am. I had just gotten my two girls, who are six and seven, out of bed, brushed their teeth, and put them straight into an Uber. We were exhausted.||I was quietly hoping and praying for an early check in, and he made it happen. That simple act meant everything
