Packwood House

Excellent location but definitely needs updating. Time to redecorate. Very expensive for what you get but when you don't have competition...|Stains on carpet, furniture, don't expect that for what they charge per night. However, we love the small town vibe and the swimming at the park.

Our anniversary getaway. The Sherwood Inn and Packwood House was highly recommend to us. We stayed one night in 318 at the Packwood House. It was not the top of the line that the price would reflex. The room with a view had dirty windows. Not dirt from a couple of day but months. The curtain rod over the bed was broken letting light in all night long. The light over the coffee maker was broken and laying on the counter. On the brighter side location was great you are in the middle of town. There is no one on site but there is 24 hr. person at the Sherwood Inn a couple of doors away. The Sherwood is where the restaurant is. We went to dinner on 7/29 at the Sherwood. We have reservations for 7 and seated at 7:25. They didn't seem that busy. Our waiter Eliot was prompt to start

We stayed here in July as we were exhibiting in the boat show. I couldn't have asked for a better location, close to the boat show and walking distance to everything in the village, as is the sister hotel the sherwood in but it was booked. This is why it gets 4 stars in my book, simple location. Packwood is not as historical as many of the hotels or B & B's in the area and is probably in need of a little refresher. The bathroom is a bit dated might be time to update the tub & shower head as water pressure was limited and hot water was in short supply. The carpet did have some stains and needed cleaned, there was a trail of something from the mini fridge to the bed. We stayed in room #211, which faced the street so there is a bit of road noice as this is a main road, the tree did block the

The Packwood House is a modern hotel right in the heart of Skaneateles. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the lake is right across the street! Skaneateles is very pedestrian-friendly so you can people-watch from your room if you face the front (which I recommend). There is an elevator and indoor garage making it even more convenient. The hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Also, since it is part of the Sherwood Inn hotel family, complimentary croissants and coffee are included at the Sherwood each morning. Totally worth the stay!

This place is a good location. I’ve stayed here in the past (2years ago) and had a good experience to come back. This time the room I had booked before was taken so i tried out a different room (209). I would not recommend staying in this room and hope the other rooms have aged better. The room is dirty and the windows dont close properly So you hear the cars all night. I found half eaten animal crackers in the couch and the stains, oh the stains on the bed. Try a different room if you come here. Hopefully it will be better.
