Easy to book online & check in @ Sherwood Inn next door. Wonderful staff from front desk to servers @ Sherwood Inn lakefront restaurant which serves wonderful dinner menu. Room tastefully decorated in character of hotel, spotless and spacious enough for luggage, chair, dresser, fireplace -not always the case in historic hotels. Updated bathroom with marble trimmed shower stall & very large vanity. Excellent linens on comfy bed & double pillows. A/C worked fine in very hot weather. Requested small refrigerator that we kept in parlor room just outside our door which also had a bathroom. Steps from many restaurants & shopping -while having view of lake from 2 front windows (blinds for privacy at night). Only 4min drive to Rosalie’s exceptional Italian fare. We recently stayed at the Hannum House next to the Sherwood Inn. It was nothing less than spectacular. The house has been totally redone and made into five gorgeous rooms. Nothing was left out: The bed, a fireplace, a built in desk, and really everything. The bathroom was drop dead beautiful with a fantastic walk in shower. The Sherwood properties are run through the Sherwood Inn, which is a good thing. Everyone, and I mean everyone is a joy to deal with. Always a smile and a warm greeting. Over the last year and a half, the Sherwood Inn has become even better. It has gone from a 4.5 star to a well deserved five star place. I can't stress enough how nice the Hannum House is. It is the nicest room we have ever stayed in. Bravo to the Sherwood Inn for redoing this house! We loved it!

We recently stayed at Hannum House and we loved our stay and look forward to returning again in the future. It is close to everything. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Thank you Casey for all of your help and kindness. The Sherwood Inn restaurant was excellent as well. We also enjoyed the pastry and breads at the Patisserie.

My wife and I got to spend a long weekend at the Hannum House. The first thing I want to say is, "Wow"! As nice a room as we have ever stayed in. I am getting ahead of myself. As I walked into the Sherwood Inn (next door and where you check in), I was greeted with a, "Hi Mr. Gates, welcome back, it is nice to see you. Your room is ready. Do you want me to walk you over?" Mind you, my wife and I are retired teachers and not high rollers, but are treated like millionaires every time we go there. We next had a spectacular lunch at the Sherwood Inn, again treated like we were the most important people in the world. After lunch, we moved in to our room. Hannum House is a beautifully appointed B&B owned and operated by the Sherwood Inn. It’s located right next door to it. All the rooms are equally beautiful. There’s a balcony as well as a front porch to sit out and enjoy lovely lake views. Highly recommend! There’s only one suggestion we have. An addition of a Keurig coffee station and a couple of bottled waters would be nice. You are over there on your own so there’s no access to either unless you walk next door to the Inn. As other guests of the Sherwood can walk downstairs for complimentary morning coffee we had to go next door and the last morning it was pouring and we had to run over in the rain to bring back coffee. At this price point, it would be recommended addition.
