Mirbeau Inn & Spa Skaneateles

*Spa review* An average experience, likely won’t return. This was my first time trying out Mirbeau spa. I booked a couples massage for a friend & I. Pros- Easy booking (booked online) Friendly front desk staff Friendly treatment staff Relaxing massage Clean linens Cons- -Small space. By the time we finished our massage (around 10:45) the women’s locker room and hot tub were shoulder to shoulder. EVERYTHING was overcrowded (and loud) which really took away from having a relaxing intimate spa experience. We decided to leave instead of hang around. -Dirty. Ugh. There were floating strings of slimy algae in the relaxation room pool. Extremely off putting. The outdoor hot tub was also very cloudy, had a lot of floating debris, and had an awful stench. Anniversary trip...33rd year...and we could not have picked a better place. With the pond and lush greenery all about and gentle music all around it feels like you have been transported to a peaceful retreat.We had 4 nights..and enjoyed the spa for facials and pedicures. The lounge and restaurant are both marvelous...great breakfast...inventive cocktails and superb food. The town is close and is charming and welcoming. First time in the Finger Lake region..and it is well worth a visit. Highly recommend Mirbeau for couples...rooms are spacious and spotless and the entire staff is just marvelous. Treat yourself to a special vacation here...you will not be disappointed.

This was my husband and my first spa and massage experience. My Nanny family raved about this place. I am beyond impressed with the experience, massage, cleanliness, and staff. My only "complaint" would be not being showed around in the women's locker room as a first timer to here and any spa but this was more on me since I said sure to a male staff member verbally explaining. My husband and I hope to make this trip at least once annually. It was the perfect get away from home. Highly recommend the Art of Living Couples experience massage. Perfect place for us to enjoy each other and take a break from life. Thank you! *Did Spa not the Inn.*

This was my first visit and overall the staff and services were great. Mary’s massage was truly amazing. The facility was clean and well kept, but I was a little disappointed by the noise in the common areas. This is not a spa issue, but a costumer issue. Despite the posted signs, there was a lot of talking and phone use in the hot tub, steam room, and sauna, which took away from the experience. Even laying in the quiet space, you could hear people screaming out at the hot tub. When I arrived, I only received a brief locker room tour. It would have been helpful to know about the restaurant, bar, or any complimentary offerings, like the work out classes, as I didn’t realize they were available and ended up leaving early because I was hungry. There was not stars to give for the massage. The facility is beautiful, room, staff and food. However I did get a prenatal massage and it was terrible. The bed it’s self in the massage room was very hard and the massage felt like someone was giving me a back rub for the first time for $200 something dollars. I would not get it again. My husband had a deep tissue and loved his. Pros and cons.
