Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport

Stayed at the Omni only because my company booked it. The day before, I reached out to see about early check-in (1 pm), to be told I would have to pay $75 for an early check in. I have never had to pay any hotel (and have never stayed in an Omni before) for that. Upon arrival, was told I was 16th in line for early room. I was not welcomed as a member of their loyalty program or offered the “Welcome drink” I should have received. Room was fairly clean - with the curtains open and sunlight illuminating the room, you could see previously cleaned stains on comforter - but was not willing to ask for new room. Wow. Scrolling through 8 pages of mostly 5-star reviews for only one month-we must have stayed in a different hotel. (Then I note some reviews are for a restaurant only or for the same worker, over and over.) We are Omni Rewards members and our experience was different. The staffer at check-in seemed quite new and was slow, then only half our room cards worked at rooms and elevators. Sometimes the same card would let us move between guest floors (we had different ones), sometimes it wouldn't, but when I went down to check the concierge we'd just tipped quite well was smiling down at something at his station and refused to acknowledge me. Positive: Fantastic location-clean hotel Negative: Staff needs to be trained better at front desk. Learn to update keys for all in the room. Ask names of all in the room. Otherwise it leads to poor experiences that could have led to a medical emergency. Front desk needs to use common sense.

I had a great experience with Alexander, the security guard at the Omni Hotel. From the moment I arrived, he was professional, attentive, and very welcoming. He made me feel safe and comfortable while also being friendly and approachable. Alexander clearly takes his job seriously and goes above and beyond to make sure guests feel secure and taken care of. His professionalism and positive attitude really stood out and made a great impression. The Omni Hotel is lucky to have someone like Alexander on their team.

My husband and I love this hotel! The rooms are small but clean and modern. The service is great at the front desk. The pool/jacuzzi is cool! We stayed last year in the winter and had concerns about the ice on the stairs to the pool and some of the outer areas and they listened to the guest’s concerns and added heated mats and an attendant this year! The only complaint I have is that the breakfast room service from Kestra is very slow. Both times we went here the room service was very late (over an hour last year and 45 mins this year). The food however was great. Finally, I love the spa here and general amenities like the Amazon Convenience Store, the on site parking, and the selection of restaurants. I will recommend this hotel to anyone!
