Olive Tree Inn San Luis Obispo

The motel is rated a 2. Way too low. The room was clean neat & comfortable. The bed was 5 star. High thread count cotton sheets with a genuine cotton quilt, not a cheap bedspread. They put 2 top sheets, 1 above & 1 under the quilt. Abundant pillows, 4 per bed. The room came with a refrigerator. Microwave. Iron & board., coffee maker & coffee grounds, 2 shampoo’s & lotion. The bathroom had a bathtub and also very abundant thick & thirsty white Cotten towels. I tested the internet speed on fast.com & it came back with 130 mps. I was blown away. I didn’t bother with the good size TV. With that speed I just used streaming. It was an extremely hot day, but the air conditioning unit worked perfectly. Total quiet & the motel was fully booked. Never heard a sound from the other rooms

My review is much like the others. This place needs someone to come in that will take care of it. There was a half cut lime and old cheese in the fridge which is from the 90’s and frozen over. The bathroom smells like mildew and mold. Good news the beds are soft

Horrible people working there. I was trying to find a place to stay for a week while my house had work done on it. (My son and his friend were with me cause we had things to do in town) The lady was extremely rude from the time I walked up to office. I only agreed to stay there cause of the location. While she is getting my info, she told me the deposit was $250 cash and the only way I can get it back is if no damage to the room (the whole room was covered with thick dust, mold, dried liquid on the walls, i took a video so I couldn't get blamed) she also said no one can visit, she let me son and his friend unload my car. We were just about to leave when my sons other friend we were supposed to pick up showed up and was going to wait in the car. Not even a couple minutes she called the roo

Positive: "" Negative: This was one of the dirtiest rooms I?be stayed in. Hair and grime all over the bathroom. Floor was so sticky it felt uncomfortable to walk on. And then on the day of checkout the desk clerk just barged in without even knocking and wouldn?t leave the room

Hideous Hotel! We unpacked our car into our allocated room and then had to change rooms because we couldn’t lock the door. Off to the next room and there weren’t enough towels. Didn’t matter, turned on the shower and after waiting long enough, discovered there was no hot water. Not a pleasant discovery during winter. When flushing the toilet you can be forgiven for thinking it was the beginning of an earth quake. The beds were likely made in the 1950s judging by the sound of the metal springs that were heard each time you turned during the night. I suspect the pillows are hand made using rags from the local op shop. The furniture is filthy, is broken and torn, and we saw a rat running around the car park. The car park was actually the nicest part of the entire hotel. This would be a very n
