Ole' English Inn

All I needed was a place to sleep and shower close to the University of Alabama on a game weekend. There is absolutely nothing fancy about this place but it served its purpose.

Absolutely uncomfortable. No heat! Window has tape, there’s visible mold, hole in ceiling, holes in floor, smells terrible, poor customer service.

this has got to be the worst place ever. they charged me $296.00 for two night stay because of alabama game on sept 8, 2018. booked room on line and made a big mistake. when we got there at 11 pm and saw room we had no where to go at that time so we stayed the night with the chair holding the front door as it didn't close properly, rusty water came out of the vanity sink so we didn't brush our teeth, very nasty, very nasty. thank god I got a room at caps the next morning for about 20.00 more per night. im sorry but I could not leave fast enough the next morning. I had to give this place 1 star but it does not rate even a 1/2 star. when we first got there I told my wife I was sorry for getting us a room that must rent by the hour as this was the WORST place we have ever stayed in my 60 year

If i'm not dropping off or picking up the ladies at the Bell Aire up the street, i'm bringing them down by the Ole English Inn. Yep, it's another one of those locations that keeps me really busy, and usually, after I drop the ladies off a few minutes later, I'll pick up a two pump chump, and take him back to his truck at the Pilot,

I'm rating it 2 instead of 1 because the price was much cheaper than others on game day and we were allowed to check in a couple of hours early. Now the bad. The A/C is either arctic blast or heat wave. The unit in our room (118) had no cover over it, making it blast even more. Everything in the room was dated, needed new paint, or a serious deep cleaning. I refused to take a shower in the bathroom because it was that bad. Everything also had a really bad musty smell. Now to the major issue we had. We checked in early (as stated above) so we wouldn't have a problem when we got back after the Alabama football game.
