Wood Manor Guest House

Beautiful, warm, hospitable, excellent. Great hosts! The moment you enter this beautiful mansion, you feel the welcome that permeates the air. We enjoyed our Lawn View 2nd Story room--clean and perfect, reading in the large (with lots of windows) living room, and getting coffee and snacks in the kitchen. The hosts are wonderful.

We had a great experience staying at Wood Manor this past Friday. The house is beautiful and our room was so relaxing. We met the owner and his dogs. He offered us great options for things to do around town. We thoroughly enjoyed the farmer's market on Saturday. We would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful house, and the rooms are outstanding. Very clean and comfortable. Quiet and in a great location. The complimentary snacks were outstanding. Great ambience and feel to the place. Full kitchen, huge living room with big screen TV were great points. Will definitely be back! Thank you very much.

You have done a beautiful job with the manor in the way you have decorated while maintaining the charm and rich history that is obvious to a guest. In our past travels we've lodged in nice hotels, but Wood Manor is not a hotel. We've enjoyed bed and breakfasts but Wood manor is not a B&B. With full access to a spacious living room and modern kitchen, it felt like we reserved a home rather than a room. In fact the Queen's Garden we enjoyed with the oversized bedroom, adjacent sunroom and oversized bath seemed more like an apartment. We could not have been more pleased. Thanks for making our visit "Sweet Home Alabama".

My daughter is a UA student, and this was my second stay at WMGH this year. Rooms are extremely clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The house is a historical gem, and very well maintained. Convenient to UA, the location is in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. Check-in and check-out are easy, and the owners and staff are perfect hosts. Very easy to feel at-home. I will definitely be back.
