Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tuscaloosa-University, an IHG Hotel

We haven't stayed at this property in Tuscaloosa but would choose it again! All was great, it was a busy week in town, so price was too high but that's not the property's fault. Breakfast was good, new coffee machine was nice too. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Great property, amaxing staff that accomodated any needs we had, and overall just a great time! One of the rooms had a sink that wasnt cleaned, and the second room we got wasn't the cleanest either, but it was very minimal dirt and grime. Overall the hotel was great and I would definitely stay here again. They even have a hot chocolate bar and cookies at night! Breakfast was amazing :)

I spent the MLK, Jr. weekend [1/17/26-1/19/26] at this Holiday Inn location in Tuscaloosa, AL, and upon entry, I was thoroughly impressed. The lighting, decor, cleanliness, fresh fragrance and welcoming environment drew me in. My family group was greeted warmly, and the check-in process was quick and easy,. As IHG platinum members, we gained early access to our rooms, and were even upgraded to large suites for no additional fee.|The living spaces were lovely, clean, and well-stocked with towels, toiletries, etc.|There are fridges and microwaves and plenty of cabinets for extra storage. There was a stand-alone closet centered against the main wall with plenty of hangers and a side compartment that contained an ironing board, iron, an extra bedding [for the sofa sleeper, if needed]. Positive: Room was very nice Negative: Didn’t serve breakfast until 6:30 and had to leave hungry. Don’t stay there if you need to leave before their breakfast time. Had to stop for breakfast

I had a really nice stay! Quinn and Veronica were helpful and friendly. I appreciated the fresh baked cookies and someone created an extremely useful guide to the local area. I've never seen that any of the other locations so I think someone in the staff took the initiative to do that. This is something that should be implemented at all of the hotels as I found it very useful and less stressful than solely relying on something like Grub Hub or Google reviews. The hotel was clean and in addition to the complimentary breakfast, there was a hot cocoa station. Very comfortable, quiet, and accommodating.
