Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown near University

I have been visiting Tuscaloosa since 2023 when my son started college at UA. I have stayed in many different hotels, however this is by far my favorite.. Location is perfect. It is quiet and quaint and smells amazing. The room was large and very clean. Very please with the pricing.. very affordable.. the staff was great, and very friendly. Great breakfast choices.. this will definitely be my go to from now on.. great location ! 10/10 highly recommend

I arrived with a minor issue and the manager was very EAGER to make sure things were done right. The hotel is EXCEPTIONALLY clean and the room was very comfortable. Great location. I felt safe at all times. If you have any problems go talk to the staff, they and their boss are ready to make your stay perfect.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Kathy, Julie and the rest of the crew were more than accommodating. The staff were so friendly and the rooms were very inviting and clean. The hotel met all of our expectations. The only downside is there is no security at the hotel. I feel they should have security after midnight. There was an unruly guest that entered the hotel and threatened the women at the front desk. I'm hopeful the hotel will hire a security guard before my next visit.

I booked a 2 night stay because I was called to Federal juror duty and lived 1.5 hours away. Julie checked me in and was soooo nice! I didn't know Tuscaloosa at all, Julie got a map and showed me how to get to the federal building, where to park, etc. She went above and beyond! The next day, my juror pool was dismissed after the 11am checkout time. Kathy, the manager, was very gracious and refunded me my second night charge. This place is really, really nice. Great rates, great rooms, and most of all - GREAT PEOPLE!!!!

Nice curb appeal. Super clean, lobby and well lit hallways. We were welcomed by Rayann and she was so friendly. I told her about trying to find a reasonably priced clean hotel that doesn't have roaches. She had nothing but great things to say about her coworkers in housekeeping and we shouldn't worry. We entered our room and checked everything. All was clean and no bugs! No complaints about anything!! Comfortable bed, great shower, stainfree linens. Great night sleep. The breakfast was standard fare. Good fluffy eggs (not wet), crispy bacon, bisquits. Theresa really was on point and paid attention to detail. Wiped evening down. Even lining up the yogurts perfectly. I took notice to a woman sweeping outside the entrance. I thanked her for keeping the entrance clean because that sets
