Ocean Landings Resort And Racquet Club

I am an owner at Ocean Landings Resort and |Raquet Club. The name sounds fancy but the Resort is far from it. I was very disappointed with my last visit because the room we had was not clean. It had old dirt. It needed a deep cleaning badly and on a regular basis. The sofa, living room chair rugs all either need to be replaced or shampooed. The air vents were dirty and there was lots of areas that were dirty for example, shower doors, floors ,lamps ,ceiling fans, light fixtures etc. Even the telephone had't been cleaned in a long while. The balcony was very run down as well. The railing needed painting and the stucco wall/ceiling was in need of repair. |The exterior of the resort is showing its age and upgrades seem to be ongoing. That is good because the exterior is as worn as

Positive: The friendly staff was the best part of the hotel and how close it was to the beach. Negative: It could be a bit cleaner on the carpets, but other than that it was a great stay!

We only spent 1 night there. You could tell it was a older place. Updated as much as could be. But our room was very clean ,beds, pillows, blankets n all very comfortable. Almost instantly hot water. Didn't use any services. But the staff at front desk was very pleasant n helpful with questions I asked.it was like a 5 minute walk to the beach. We had a coffeemaker,small mircowave n small refrig with freezer. A table n 2 chairs In May we stayed at a named hotel chain Pd more money than Ocean. Room floors was dirty I don't think they ever mopped floors. Shower drain had hair in it. Pillows was lumpy. So I was very happy with Ocean landings

Rooms have been updated since the hurricane. Work still needs to be done (new doors for units that lock behind you). The unit had 2 doors to exit, so we just used the door that locked and deadbolt the other during our stay. The resort is looking better. Very family friendly with things happening in the activity center if you want a calm day. Some service personal need better training when it comes to customer service. I asked a pretty simple question about what machines are available in the fitness center and was told to come back and find out when it opens the next day. Overall, I would come back and stay. Some activities do cost extra if you need to rent things. It's all explained in the booklet each room is provided.

They stuck us in a room that needs smoke remediation. They charged extra for ocean view after being quoted a price for ocean view. Upon discovering how bad the room was we were ready to leave as they claimed that was all they had. Stated no refunds until I let them know I paid by credit card and would dispute charges. Miraculously an emergency room became available that was ocean front but just a view of mangroves. It wasn't maintained well, but wasn't permeated with smoke. The dryer vent is somehow hooked into the bathroom vent/light, so it spewed lint and dead bugs all over the bathroom. My husband ended up with lint in his eye. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. It feels like an aging timeshare that corporate is getting ready to dump, or bulldoze for the price of the land.
