New Sheridan Hotel

The service was like something I've never experienced. The care they took. They missed a star for the rooms because the water took awhile to warm up. Telluride is a great place to stay and this hotel is walking distance to the free gondola. We had a great experience and I will be staying here again.

Positive: That it wasn’t too big and the classic decor. Negative: There was barely any hot water

The incomparable pearl of Telluride. This remains the only place to stay in town, I can say after nine stays over almost as many years. Home-like, friendly, central, understated and attached to one of the town's most fashionable restaurants, the place can't be beat. Housekeeping takes care of everything, rooms are small but cozy and you never feel you're staying in a hotel here, only your best friend's home. We can never get enough of this.

We had an amazing meal at The New Sheridan! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was beautifully prepared — flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere captured that classic Telluride charm, blending historic elegance with a warm, welcoming feel. What really stood out was the customer service — absolutely top-notch. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel valued. It’s rare to find a place where the service and cuisine are both this impressive. Highly recommend dining here if you’re in Telluride — it’s truly a five-star experience!

Lovely boutique style hotel, great location right in middle of town, nice staff. Beds are really comfortable. Stayed on a Tuesday night in October. Windows looked out on a wall and while we were able to open them, there was an air conditioning unit or something like that right outside, so it was noisy. No daylight. Also got allergy problems in the room, but unsure why. No fridge or coffee maker (but coffee in lobby). They have better rooms with regular windows if you want to spend more than $400. 3 stars because of value for money. We found it too expensive for what you get, but can't beat location.
