Fairmont Heritage Place, Franz Klammer Lodge

We have loved visiting so much over the past few years that we decided to purchase a residence! It begins with the excellent staff like AJ and/or Bubba picking us up at the airport. As soon as we arrive, they get us checked in and help bring our luggage up to the room. The concierge has helped us out on more than one occasion to get last minute reservations or into adventures that few know about. Chantry in Owner Services told us about a very rare and unique opportunity for dinner at the top of the mountain having to get there by snow pusher rig (not sure of actual name of the machinery that got us there!). These criticisms are meant to be constructive only. I know this was early season and kinks needed to be worked out. 1. Television was not set up and had to call engineering to program it. 2. Shower sandals were for 2 left feet 😊 3. Still no jets for spa indoor hot tub. This has been going on for a while. With the large increase I have been paying for the last few years, this needs to be fixed. A big bathtub does no one any good 4. No one sent me the welcome email etc until day 3 of my stay 5. Dishwasher in 302 would not turn on. It worked the first day but then conked out. 6. Fan in bathroom 2 is squeaking 7. Why are there no alarm clocks in the bedrooms anymore? 8. BEAUTIFUL hotel and property. This resort could not be better placed in Telluride. The views, the activities and the restaurants are top notch. The staff is friendly and they go out of their way to help you. We have traveled to this Fairmont 5 times and can’t wait to come back.

The staff is the key to the whole place. They are currently undergoing renovations, so visitor should be aware of that. However, the staff will make every accommodation to give you a perfect trip. And the location in the mountains is magnificent.

FKL is an iconic property and THE choice location in Mountain Village. The feel is sophisticated but family-friendly. The units are comfortable and well-equipped. The staff is happy and helpful. Walking access to the ski lift, village businesses, and gondolas means we didn't need a car. Will definitely return.
