Natchez Cabin Rental

Just spent the weekend here, my second time. Ms. Paula and her son, Eric, are so hospitable and everything that you need for a relaxing, rustic getaway in the country is right there. It’s within decent distance of all the nature trails and falls near Natchez. Would highly recommend this if you’re looking for an easy getaway in a cabin.

The owners were very nice and welcoming. Loved the cabin, it was great! The cabin had a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, sink), two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room with satellite TV. The area was great, the beds were comfortable. Lots of nearby attractions. The only reason we are giving a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is due to a lack of hot water. We stayed in the cabin for two nights, we had hot water on the first night, after that the water was lukewarm at best. The owners did try to fix the water heater while we were out sightseeing, but they were unsuccessful.

I am a local and I fish here on Lake Montrose and maintain a house for a friend with property on the lake so I've never stayed in the cabins but the fishing at these cabins is excellent and I can see from the water that the cabin grounds are excellently maintained as are the cabins themselves. The duckweed can get thick in the hot months and affect the beauty of the small lake and make it harder to fish. I will be renting one the next time any of my out of town friends visit so I can keep my peace and privacy at home and have an excuse to force them to fish Mississippi lol!! Will update with more details and photos one day soon I hope but I can see enough while fishing the banks nearby to know the owners/managers care about the outside to know the inside is immaculate too.

We stayed in the cabin on cricket hill I believe an it was so peaceful! Very accommodating an the best night sleep I had on a bed in a while. The trail to the lake was great an the time in the boat on the water was awesome. Will definitely be back!

My wife and I went there for a weekend getaway. We walked in the Bunk House and were greeted by a homemade cake (not box stuff) and a note explaining the cabin rules (basically stating that my isn’t allowed to cook lol). We actually spent very little time at the cabin and most of our time at St. Catherine Wildlife Refuge (very short drive) walking and driving trails. When we were at the cabin we enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the very nice temperatures (we went in early July) and birds chirping. We didn’t see any snakes around the cabin (I was hoping to see a rattle snake since I haven’t seen one since I was a teenager).
