Magnolia Bluffs, BW Signature Collection

Spent a couple nights, overall a mixed bag... check in was prompt and friendly though no mention was made of my Elite Status nor was there any welcome gift which is the norm. Had a room on the top floor so was quiet and the HVAC had a continuous fan setting for ample white noise to block out any other noise...Bed was comfortable. On the negative side most of the other furnishings look like they might have been salvaged from Hurricane Katrina, I've never seen such old worn out tables, chairs and nightstands...the biggest complaint was with housekeeping...the floor was not clean at all, plenty of hair in the bathroom and grit everywhere else, while the Shower drained fine and plenty of water pressure and hot water, the sink did drain very slowly...then on my checkout day at 9:30 AM they came

My stay was OK, not great. The hotel needs maintenance and rooms need an upgrade. I believe they are putting most effort on the casino. The first room I had, the AC was not cooling. Temperature would not cool below 75 degrees. Front desk changed room kindly. Second room was OK. The furniture is dated, old and scratched. TV worked fine, AC worked, toilet seat was loose, no kleenex. The room was clean, shower worked fine. I will say staff was friendly. The breakfast was OK but limited options. ||For the money there are better options next door.

Positive: It's always clean, a friendly atmosphere, and the breakfast is amazing!!! Negative: Only one elevator was working this trip.

At first, I was shown to Room 326, but it was a very strange room. There was no refrigerator, television, sofa, hangers, trash can, or even a “Later, please” card. In addition, there was a problem with the shower drain. The water drained very slowly, and during the shower, dirty water accumulated up to about my calves. It was impossible to use the shower in that condition, so I asked to change rooms. In the next room, there was a television and a refrigerator; however, around 1:00 a.m., I was woken up by people shouting loudly in the hallway and by a neighbor’s child screaming. This continued until about 3:00 a.m., and I ended up sleep-deprived. Unfortunately, although the price was not cheap, it was a terrible experience. I truly regret choosing this hotel. We stayed there New Year's Eve for convenience to the start of the trail. I will say that best part of the stay were the ladies (staff). The lovely lady at the front desk did her best to accommodate us when our ac did not work in the room, the refrigerator was not cooling and the room was not cleaned. She offered us another room and let us go see it first. It did have a bettter working ac but it too was not very clean. As far as this being an updated hotel I am not sure when that happened. The rooms show very much wear and tear and not a good maintenance program. They were not very clean, the beds were awful, the tubs did not drain and ac was not very cold. The breakfast was not bad.
