My Place Hotel-Ankeny, IA

This place was amazing! I felt totally safe and so comfortable like I was at home. The staff was amazing and the rooms are incredible. Everything was very clean and they had full kitchen, with a full size coffee maker so I had wonderful coffee in the morning that didn't tastes like cardboard. They also have an in room menu that you can get little items delivered to your room without leaving the hotel. 24-hour coffee is also available at the front desk. I highly recommend this hotel and this is coming from someone who normally stays at a La Quinta. They even have a pet area with bags available.

A wonderful value amongst many hotel and restaurant options, especially if you don't need a lot of frills (no pool, no gym, food for purchase only. The property was well kept, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and you could actually open the window to get fresh air. The wi-fi worked well. The single bed room was spacious (ample floor space for two+ yoga mats). The room included a kitchenette with full-size fridge, microwave, and counter-top range (no cooking or eating utensils). We would definitely make this a regular stop when traveling through Des Moines.

Made the reservation 3 weeks before and asked for 2 rooms connected for 4 days. This was during the Iowa state fair, so the rooms were EXPENSIVE! When we showed up the front desk clerk said there was no request and the rooms were 204 & 211, not anywhere close!! She did move 204 to 212 which was across the hall, but not what we originally wanted. You would think for over $1800 (over $200/room/night) we would've been accommodated, but the room next to 211 was a hearing impaired room and she said the manager didn't approve. She couldn't move both rooms. The request for the ice makers to be turned on was ignored. NOTE: She did find the room request later, after asking the manager, but said someone had written it in the wrong place so it was missed!|There was a 2 burner stove, but MyPlace doe

This place is actually pretty nice , you get a nice little mini kitchen with a full fridge and a sink and literally even a stove top...I have stayed a few times and one time they had dishes there and the next there was none so be prepared if you are planning on some five star cooking plans in your room lol. Otherwise the staff was extremely friendly and super cool to me so I had great stays! 🤩

Positive: The manager and staff were wonderful. We were greeted with a warm welcome upon arrival and provided good details for our stay. They served hot coffee and tea and the hotel was very clean. Our room was clean and had a comfortable night sleep. Negative: ""
