Motel 6 Winchester, VA

Our room didn't have a coffee pot or hair dryer, but it was absolutely spotlessly clean! My first job back in 1980 was cleaning motel rooms, my mother was the manager there, and she was very meticulous in how she wanted the room cleaned. This place would pass her white government inspection, and we would stay here again!

Shockingly clean motel. Bare bones amenities just like any Motel 6. But this location had a very large room. TV with a large assortment of channels. Newer shower. Nice table and chair area to eat at. Wifi worked ok. Numerous restaurants within a short drive, none within walking distance though. The room itself smelled clean upon entry. There was no visible signs of dirt anywhere. Only exception: some poor little dog is missing his chew toy. It was buried well under the bed frame on the floor. This is a fine hotel for an overnight stop, dogs stay free, and this is not a Marriott. Keep that in mind.

We make this Motel 6 our favorite place to stay. Staff(Taylor and others just didn't get their names!) Very courteous, polite and helpful! Close to anything you might want to do. Great flea market about 6 miles away. One of the best places I have ever stayed with dogs, great open area. There has been alot of upgrades to the rooms, which are pet friendly!

Positive: The people who checked me in and out were very nice and helpful. The room was quiet as well. Negative: The room had roaches in it. There were several burn holes in the bedding and furniture as well. Further, I requested a non smoking room but there were none available when I arrived. I will not be coming back to this motel again.

Me and my wife stayed during a particularly nasty snow storm, and for the price the place cant be beat. The staff (Jason, Taylor, and the girl with purple hair whose name I forgot, but was very sweet and fun to talk to) was very friendly and lent me the tools I needed to dig myself out! 10/10 would get snowed in again
