Motel 6 Staunton, VA

Booked a room via hotels.com for a Saturday night mid-October. Arrived around 10pm after spending the day hiking the Shenandoah National Park Loop, so was dead tired. There was no one at the counter when I got there, so waited 5 minutes, then gave a call at the number I found from Google, then the lady showed up. There on, I had a very good experience. She gave me a room on the second floor. I was tired, so didn't want to climb stairs, and asked for something on the ground floor. She offered me to take a look at a pet-friendly room as it was the only other available room. It smelled of cat litter, so I declined and kept what I originally had. I appreciated her letting me take a look. My room was spacious with 2 beds, so I was able to spread my luggage out and pack my hiking bag for New Riv

Check-in was quick and efficient. The room seemed clean, but was missing basic amenities such as hand soap. There was a dehumidifying bag hanging in the room, to which we didn't give much thought. However, upon inspection of the bed, it was covered in mold. The front desk staff apologized and promptly moved us to a different room which interestingly had the expected amenities.

Positive: nothing Negative: it had holes in the wall , and dirty everywhere and trash

The entrance was very nicely decorated. The staff are kind and shelter feral cats from the cold The renovated room was clean and didn't see any bugs. Microwave was dirty. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets had a hair and some stains. The best was the hot water pressure in the shower!!! FANTASTIC! Thin walls as you can hear couples doing their business. 🙄 We recommend coming here.

Very well maintained property! Extremely clean rooms, sanitized toilet w a seal of approval, clean vents, no dust on baseboards. The beds are very firm but we slept well. Bathroom shower is very nice. Very limited on places to stay when we’re traveling with our dog, this is by far the CLEANEST motel 6 we’ve ever been to. Definitely would stay here again.
