Hampton Inn Staunton

Beautiful hotel with incredible mountain views! Linda, the general manager, is absolutely amazing — she goes above and beyond for guest and her team. Kayla at the front desk is exceptional and really knows how to make every guest feel welcome. Housekeeping keeps the rooms spotless and comfortable. The staff makes the hotel feel like home. Highly recommend staying here!

What a ripoff! My stay at the Hampton Inn - Staunton was an incredibly bad value. This place charges ridiculous money for a shabby, worn out room that looks like it hasn't been updated in 25 years, with dirty carpets and stained furniture. Getting a tiny, crude microwave oven was only for a so-called deluxe room! and their pet fee, at over $83 for ONE NIGHT, is an additional screw job. The breakfast was meager, with a juice machine that dispensed barely flavored water. It's a disgrace that Hilton has anything to do with this place. Below are some photos to illustrate my point.

My wife and I stayed here while traveling to visit the Vineyards in the area. Overall, the room was clean and we got a good nights rest and in the morning got a good little breakfast to get us on the road

Positive: We knew what to exact with Hampton Inns, and this one delivered! It was clean and comfy. The bed was great, and I really liked the shampoo, etc. Breakfast was good, and we enjoyed the pool. The location was great to visiting downtown Staunton. Negative: This is trivial, but the huge closet door swung into the room and made it impossible to get to the bathroom while someone was using the closet. A small sliding or bifold door would have been a much better choice for the room.

This hotel looks good from the outside but it definitely needs a facelift. The price shown online does not reflect what you actually pay. If the price was truly $135 I wouldn't have much to say. For over $200 it should be in better shape. The room was clean however furniture beat up, rugs need replacement, damaged tile in multiple places in the bath. Breakfast was the typical chain hotel fair coffee,scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, mini muffins, waffles etc. also cookies for snacks around 5 in the evening. Was following previous reviews by booking here however sometimes you see things differently. Just not my cup of tea ...
