Motel 6 San Francisco, CA – Lombard Street

PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES POSTED ON MOTEL 6 WEBSITE. first, let’s start with the fact that on Motel 6 website it says that parking is provided free of charge but when you get there, they try to charge you $10 for parking then when I brought it to his attention he tried to argue with me, the sign that he had taped he took it down. get up to the room two super paper, thin pillows no towels had to go back downstairs to get towels I go back into the office and the sign that he had previously taken down he put it back up charging $10. There were hairs all over the sheets. The sheets and the bed didn’t smell clean. They smelled like chlorine the lights didn’t really work in the room only one lamp worked.

Positive: Staff was available at all times, location and parking wise was fine. Negative: Sheets were over used, pillows in terrible shape, mattresses with shoe marks that make noise, bended headboards with marks of dirt.

Room was quite filthy, and smelled strongly of cigarette/weed-smoke. Bugs were crawling around in the room, and because the door was poorly sealed - we heard everything outside the room. There were also no fridge or microwave, even though the posted photos showed rooms with said amenities. Parking also costs 10$ per day, but is not gated or guarded, and you don’t get a designated space, so I don’t really get what you’re paying for. |The only redeeming qualities were location and friendly staff.

I had a fantastic experience with Motel 6. Starting with the front desk clerk. San Francisco had torrential downpour all morning into mid day. I had to walk (by choice) 6 miles to get to this place. I was early but the front desk gentleman had mercy on me and let me check in earlier. Thank you Thank you Thank you. The parking lot clean. My room was satisfying. I would’ve like a coffee pot. It may not be a 4star hotel but served its purpose. I would recommend this motel.

Rooms are bare minimum. No mini fridge, no microwave, vending machine out front sells drinks, snacks and cup noodles but hase no access to drinkable hot water or a way heat it? But rooms are clean and staff is polite, overall good enough for the verry afordable price:)
