Motel 6 Jacksonville, NC

Cons: They charge a $100 refundable deposit. This was not a pet deposit, just a requirement. I didn't know about this until checking in. I think they're doing a renovation but we got a room that was clearly not done yet. Room also smelled quiet musty. The water pressure was sad. There were a few questionable fellow guests. Skinny mattresses lying directly on board bed, so they're not very comfortable. Pros: Room to park a large uhaul or truck pulling a trailer. Mattresses had protective covers so no bed bugs. Deposit was refunded (4 days later & only after a call to ask about it). Allow dogs & cats (2 pets max). Had a microwave, fridge, hairdryer, iron, ironing board & blackout curtains. Overall: We weren't particularly impressed, but also not particularly upset with the multiple night s

DO NOT stay here. It's trash. Nothing like the pictures. Horrible management. Can it seem to keep help. Treats their employees like crap. Very disgusting rooms. Bugs literally everywhere. Black mold. Smelly rooms. Random people roaming the motel. People knocking on doors and windows all hours of the day and night. Will overcharge you. Lock your card once you pay especially if you bring up any questions or concerns. Do not care if you have health issues, they'll stick you in a disgusting room filled with mold and bugs. Big rooms , little to no furniture. What furniture there is I. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. Furniture is falling apart. Holes in doors, walls, and ceiling. Good luck trying to get a refund. The owners is related to the GM.

Room was very clean it was quite close bye restaurants enjoyed my stay there will be coming again

This is the second time I've stayed with them. This time I have a king bed. Everything is satisfactory for a short stay. They do have a nice pool for the warmer months. Both times I visited were cold and rainy days and decided not to utilize. Overall a good experience and would recommend.

The owner, looks for any excuse to keep your $100 deposit, which is required at check-in. Where do I begin to explain how horrible this place is. the only positive thing is it is affordable. It is not inexpensive but affordable. Yet the place itself it horrible. The shower. water pressure is equivalent to a toddler peeing. It is clearly old, has a moisture/mildew problem. There are large water bugs (roaches). The clientele here is less than desirable, it feels like a homeless haven. It feels like the kind of hotel you go to if you want to do drugs. I will say another positive it is close to base but if you have the funds to stay somewhere better, I recommend that instead.
