Motel 19

The place is trouble. Not properly cleaned nor fumigated for bug complaints. They have roaches! Overpriced rooms which they're getting $2700 for monthly. Which is a sin in just that alone! DSS has no problem paying these indecent, over-priced rates for the homeless and displaced endlessly rather than assisting ppl to get out of motels into permanent housing. Most have to pay $750 p/mo for their share toward the $2700 rather than be assisted with getting their own apartments half that amount. New ppl coming in all the time or daily and with what their charging they dont fumigate enough for bugs which should be done weekly or biweekly at minimum. They don't send in housekeeping to clean the rooms for DSS patrons either at those rates. No hot water and when you report it they turn it on while

Where should I start? I stayed here for less than a week. My room didn't get clean but it got wiped down. There was the same soap scum in the shower and the sink that stayed there until I cleaned it myself. The water had an overpowering smell of sulfur.There were bugs flying all around the room. The carpets were fairly worn down. The curtains were broke and had holes in them. The A/C was extremely dirty. The bed was uncomfortable and I can feel the springs digging into my body. The wall paper was tearing, as so the walls had cracks and holes. It was by far the worst hotel I have ever been in. I would never consider staying here again and neither should you.

If you like an outdated room that smells like stale cigarettes and a little mildew with outdated old furniture and you like hearing Route 28 and the New York Thruway this place is for you yes it's inexpensive and that's what I could say guy at the front desk was far from Pleasant but if that's what you're into go for it Many other places within 5 miles almost the same price I look twice won't be coming back here

Discrimination against service animals . Denied service because of my service animal even though they accept dogs. Her Pitbull sitting on the couch at the counter is the same size as my dog they didn't care they heard my dogs breed but she didn't even know what kind of dog it was but thought it was a huge dog didn't get to explain. She told me it's Motel 19th policy to not accept any dog they don't feel comfortable with and they do not care about service animals they go by their policies not a federal mandate. So I'd hate to see what a veteran or somebody else that's more disabled than I am would get treated like here at this place. Ice storm with no power that includes heat. I was already frustrated. The woman at the desk went above and beyond to accommodate us and our friends in 2 rooms next to each other. It is a no frills room at a great price which helps. It was pretty clean, everything worked .....especially the heat! When I thought I was staying another day the owner was there making sure I had everything taken care of if i needed anything. It is a simple room, bed, restroom fridge and microwave. Close to downtown and quick check who makes excellent subs.so if you're looking for lux..... this is not for you. But if you need a room, friendly attentive staff, no frills best price bed, they got you.
