Best Western Plus Kingston Hotel and Conference Center

Pool was out of service, and no free breakfast, but offerings were the same as their free breakfast. Game room takes quarters only but didn’t have a coin machine. We were interested in the pool tables but didn’t see any pool cues; granted we did not ask the front desk, but there wasn’t any signage that they even had any there. Place is definitely old. Has a bit of a smell, mostly of smoke. Really clean for the age and tier of hotel, I’ve stayed in “nicer” places with dirtier bathrooms. Couldn’t find a menu online or in the room for their on-site restaurant, so we skipped it this time. Overall not a bad place, just really run down and low on staff. Multiple guests in front of us at check in complained about the pool closure and got a free breakfast. We checked in patiently and politely and

Positive: Nothing. I have stayed here several times and always enjoyed my stay, felt safe and clean. Not sure what happened but I did not feel safe and the room was far from clean. The one positive was the agent who checked me in on 12/31. Staff needs training. Negative: The room, the cleanliness, the broke down furniture, cabinet that did not close, broken TV, was yelled at in public while getting coffee and was told i needed a ticket, when I selected a room rate with breakfast. Unprofessional and staff NN training asap.

Never ever good, average. Stayed here because it was convenient when visiting my son in college, it was pretty basic but clean, comfortable beds and a convenient bar and restaurant on site with a free continental breakfast. Not anymore. No more bottled water in the room - had to buy it from the bar because the vending machines did not work, no more free breakfast (they are now charging $20 for a continental breakfast and $5.00 for just coffee) and the bathroom toilet in the room was not clean. The restaurant/bar was grouse, eyelash on my plate and the food was nasty. The bartender was very pleasant and sweet though. The woman at the front desk looked absolutely miserable. Average place has gone down-hill fast. Stay elsewhere!

For the past few years, we are there for a weekend in February for a festival. This is an AMAZING venue for such events: great concert hall, indoor court-yard with a swimming pool, gym, arcade machines, etc. Rooms are nice and clean and have all the neccessary amenities. The personal is always extremely helpful and friendly. A true pleasure to come back every year!

we were there for a wedding. We had two rooms and my daughter had her two children in her room and we were in the other room. The wedding party was so loud and by midnight my daughter cannot take it any longer and called and made a complaint about the noise. The person at the desk at night came up to her room, knocked on the door and made a public service announcement to everybody that there was a wedding going on and we needed to understand if they were celebrating. They were drinking and smoking right in the atrium. Needless to say, my daughter was petrified after the person knocking on the door at midnight, I was gonna open the door to say something, but frankly, I was a little afraid as well. We did not sleep that night at all, not due to the noise because that did calm down, but that
