No coffee maker in room. No ice bucket and not even a cup to sip water with! They had some security issues with a person threatening employees so the door was always locked in the foyer. Pillows were very, very lumpy and old. Not all the pillows, just some. No hooks nor towel bars in bathroom. Shower base was very short so water poured onto the tile floor. Only one trash can in the room but that wasn’t a real big deal. Most others have 2 trash cans. And NO BREAKFAST, even though they advertised they had breakfast. That was a huge disappointment! This Microtel was not nearly as good as others, after this experience, I may not search out anymore rooms at this chain.

One step up from camping. The only positive was the ac worked and in the town I needed. I went on parents weekend and expected price gouging but thought it would be a quality hotel…so wrong. $700 a night and it was filthy for all 3 days! Never saw a housekeeper in the rooms or common areas. In fact, they wanted to charge an additional $8 a night to clean the room. The smells will knock you out. Husband joked they were trying to cover a dead body. If the smell didn’t give you a headache, the lighting did. No lamps…a bank of fluorescent lighting above the bed and a few ceiling spots were the only light source…like sleeping in an office. No carpet…dirty vinyl floor. No coffee setup or cups in the room. Phone didn’t work. Drapes broken. I could tell they had repainted because pain

Not a great experience. I arrived at 4:00 pm an hour past the check in time of 3:00 pm. I waited in the lobby until 5:45pm before my room was ready only to go wait another 15 minutes when I got to my room because it wasn’t actually ready. The room itself was fine. Then I went to go get breakfast at 6:30 and only found a few packs of oatmeal, pancake batter and only one of the cereal dispensers had cereal but there was no milk. The juice machine did have juice so I least I didn’t have to be thirsty. I thought maybe it was just early but when I left at 7:15 it was still exactly the same. Not asking for much but a yogurt, a piece of toast and jelly, or even a muffin would be nice but I guess that is asking too much. Only positive is the gentleman that checked me in was super nice and apologet

Avoid this place at all costs! I booked a room at this Microtel location in Alabama because I had a death in my family. After driving nine hours from Florida, I was shocked by what I found. While the reviews suggest it’s a quick, nice stay and conveniently located, the reality is that this hotel is horrible and run-down. The walls are paper-thin, and I suspect there were bed bugs, as something was crawling on a pillow I flipped over right after checking in. The overnight front desk gentleman apologized and walked me through several rooms. I had to be rebooked three times due to unacceptable issues. Each room had serious problems, including bugs, a lack of cleanliness, broken furniture, and duct tape on items that maintenance should have repaired. I had no choice but to stay one night since

Everything was really nice. The room was nice and clean. They just weren’t doing breakfast anymore at this one. And I weren’t told this at check in. But all in all I would stay again. The person at check in was nice and so was the one at checkout. Great
