Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tracy

Great check-in, greeted by name when I walked in. Room set up way cool, microwave and fridge a plus. Nice soaps, shampoos lotions in bathroom, great cooling! Beds very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, haven’t had such good scrambled eggs in some time! Clean room and great outdoor area for pets.

The room was very clean. Amenities are aging. The breakfast is decent. Plenty of charging ports in the room and the wifi is pretty reliable, but not good enough for zoom. Pet areas were nice and well maintained. There was a constant sulphur stench that came from the plumbing. We did find a cockroach in our room. The room was advertised as "sound proof" but this was not the case. I do not recommend for families as they can't seem to keep people from smoking in the rooms.

The room was clean and comfortable and the night staff was friendly. However, I checked out a day early and they said to contact the third party I booked through for a refund for the last night. I had a question and called after I checked out because I was given the run around to get the refund. I had a simple question. The front desk girl had a tone from the moment she answered. She said, " you are no longer a guest and have already checked out and there's nothing I can do." She kept cutting me off and I couldn't even spit out the question which was simply, "is there sometimes a delay with the third party to call the hotel to verify I checked out early so I can get a refund." And she kept assuming I was asking something different and not at all listening to me. I didn't have an attitude.

Jamie at Microtel was very kind (night shift ). Checked into a suite & check in time was 2-3 mins. Very spacious & very clean. Would 100% recommend. The hotel also offers 24x7 coffee, which I loved - both regular & decaf. The only thing missing were some saucepans to use - stove tops are provided in the room.

Positive: One of the staff members was exceptionally sweet. The other was indifferent as if she didn?t want to be there. That?s always awkward when you need something. The room was clean, and the price was fair. Negative: The temperature of the hot was SO disappointing. I called ahead of time before booking to make sure it was operating correctly and was told it was. I recommend the manager to test it, and see how long he/she lasts in the luke warm tub. It was barely warm!
