Hampton Inn Tracy

$12 parking, but room rate was very good. Breakfast great. Felt safe. Rooms was super clean and smelled great. $50 deposit. Everything was great except the adjoining doors. The adjoining doors have small gaps so you can hear EVERYTHING going on next door. Made me uneasy sleeping knowing my neighbor and I can hear each other.

I stayed one night while in the area on business. Upon arrival, it looked like the typical tired Hampton Inn. The front desk staff were both super friendly. The room and bathroom were both clean. The tile in the room entrance were loose. The carpeted floor was a bit lumpy and creaky. There is a restaurant in the back which plays music very loudly. It does stop at 9ish when the restaurant closes. There is quite a bit of road noise coming through the windows. The ac/heater unit works very well. It offers a constant fan option which gives enough white noise in the background to get a decent nights sleep. The bed was pretty comfortable as well. Check-in was easy and staff cordial. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent and special thanks to Nancy, the attendant there, who was so nice and helpful. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance, which we didn't get to explore this visit. We spent a lot of time with family in the area due to bereavement. The only downside was having to pay for parking and non-refundable reservation, in spite of that it was a good stay. The area seemed to be safe and quiet.

Check in was quick, not the friendliest staff, no problem either. I'm not happy about all the extra fees that I was not told about... parking and free breakfast. I chose to stay here because of indoor pool. Next I'll double all extra fees before booking
