Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Florence/Cincinnati Airport

I am just now looking at previous reviews and WOW, I could not agree more. We definitely weren't expecting any degree of luxury. We booked here out of necessity after a long day of travel and the impending winter storm. Thoroughly disgusting and rude staff. The photos speak for themselves. Our first room, 101, was home to a colony of bed bugs. After getting eaten up, we asked to switch rooms. The second room, 201, was so rank and filthy that I actually had to run out and vomit. Our third attempt, room 331 (which the front desk informed us was our third and final attempt for an "upgrade" 🙄) was marginally better but still reaked of old ciggy butts. We used Microtel to stay the night before an early flight and left our car in their lot (sleep/park/fly). The rooms are old and dated, they smell a bit musty. We took the shuttle van to the airport Wednesday morning. The van was in terrible repair, rattled and sounded like a hole in the exhaust. It also had trash on the floor and empty cups in the cup holders. When we left we asked about return home and they asked for the date and time, which they noted. I called the night before our return to confirm we'd be picked up. We arrive at 5:30am and they said they'd be there. I called once we landed and even though the hotel is 12 minutes away, it took nearly 30 minutes for them to arrive. When he got there, the same trash was still in the van from Wednesday.

Positive: The smart TV Negative: The hotel does not have a business center as advertised. The hallway, the elevator, the carpet and walls were DIRTY! I was placed in a room with the view of a trashed up roof the pictures online are outdated . The lobby smelled like funky food .

avoid this hotel if possible make it your last option. guest service is terrible very unprofessional. the rooms lack basic amenities only provided 2 wash cloths no towels still had the previous occupants trash and linen on beds asked to switch rooms. which they gave me another one only to find infested with roaches and the kitchenette area half finished remodel with the sleeping area floor soaking wet from a flooded pipe somewhere requested another room change. which they gave me a room on the ground floor not any better temperature outside 23 degrees room 101 heating unit you actually see outside ground from not being properly installed in just requested a refund to much of a hassle so I left to find more comfortable place to stay will not return or recommend

My family and I walked into our room and immediately walked out. The window was wide open, the walls were brown and discolored from dust and dirt, and there was a bug in the bathroom. My husband asked to either be moved to a cleaner room or for a refund if that's the best they could offer. They cancelled the room. The employee, however, was courteous and understanding.
