Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Cincinnati Airport South/Florence

After a long 12-hour drive, we arrived at the Fairfield Marriott and were greeted by Sean at the front desk. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was underwhelming. He provided only the basic information and sent us on our way, and came across as not very friendly, which wasn’t the warm welcome we were hoping for after such a long day. The room itself, however, was very comfortable, and the beds were absolutely outstanding — easily the highlight of the stay. One minor issue was the shower curtain, which seemed to be designed for a shower stall rather than a bathtub, making it a bit awkward to use. The next morning we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Overall it was quite good, though I’m not entirely sure what’s going on with hotel eggs these days — they had that artificial taste that

My daughter and I stayed here during/after her spinal fusion surgery. Not only did they ask me why I was there, the front desk staff remembered and asked me how she was doing each day. The room was lovely, spacious, and always cleaned well by the custodial staff. I would stay here again very quickly. Very close to a lot of delicious restaurants as well. Thank you for making what was a very stressful event in our lives a little easier. I appreciate you so much.

This hotel is conveniently located about half way between the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. There are plenty of sidewalks to walk to several restaurants and even a Walmart nearby. It was close to the airport, but we never heard any airplanes while inside the hotel. It could be because we were on the opposite side of the hotel though too. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was nice with plenty of hot and cold items from which to choose. Our room was large with a large bathroom as well. One large empty wall in the bathroom though would have been nice to have some hooks to hang towels, clothes, etc. Bring your own soap because theirs fell apart after just a few uses. We have stayed here a couple of times before and it was good but this time it was frankly dismal. The room we were assigned had no heating controls, the shower base was ripped, and two of the three shower items (body wash and shampoo) were missing, meaning there was only conditioner. We were arriving late after a long flight from Europe and so we were too tired to ask for a new room. We just slept, got up early (jet lag), and left very early. This was a very disappointing stay and honestly we would not stay here again as it seems to be going downhill.||The guy who checked us in was very nice and helpful and the room seemed clean but they should take 217 out of commission and fix the issues as it does not speak well to the rst of the place.
