Meadowbrook Inn

We had a great stay at the Meadowbrook Inn and would absolutely return. The staff truly stood out—everyone we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience feel personal rather than transactional. The location is prime for Blowing Rock. It’s walkable to the main shops and restaurants and perfectly situated for enjoying the town without needing to drive everywhere. The accommodations were comfortable and well maintained, exactly what you want after a full day exploring the area. Breakfast was decent and a nice added convenience to start the morning without having to head out immediately. Overall, a very solid stay with exceptional service and an unbeatable location. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Blowing Rock.

We booked a king suite with private pool. Sounds amazing, right? The front desk staff were friendly and assisted to the best of their ability, but beyond that it was a complete disappointment. The price we paid rivaled 5 star accommodations. The reality was motel 6 with a private pool. It was probably amazing in the 1980's, but severely dated and needs maintenance and TLC. The room was not clean to a standard I'm used to, with remnants of past guests left on the floor and about the room. The bed linens were itchy, and room service didn't hit the mark either. Let's just say they phoned it in and skipped meaningful items anyone would expect from a high priced stay. I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews. Maybe it was wrong place wrong time for those people, but we had a great experience! I was hesitant to book at first because of the mixed reviews but from the moment we arrived I relaxed greatly. Our check-in experience was delightful and very welcoming. They explained everything clearly and answered any of our questions. Our room was in the main building. It was clearly recently renovated with updated furniture, plugs, and lighting. Everything felt and looked clean. I was never once worried about cleanliness. The hotel common areas are a mixture of antique and modern, but it has a mountain charm. Great location. Really great xmas decorations. Nice staff--very friendly and helpful. Relocated us and provided us with an extra heater when we had a room that wasn't getting warm. The night was unbelievably cold!! Great selections at the desk for wine and snacks! Nice pool Nice bathrooms, nice comfortable bed. Beautiful hotel.
