This place was lovely! The people who work there were so helpful and friendly. It was like glamping in downtown. Went with our kids and we roasted marshmallows on one of their fire pits. We walked to shopping and food. Walked down to Chetola and saw lights. Just super lovely. Only problem is the walls are paper thin and the beds hurt my old back. But the rest was wonderful. Clean. Bug free. No bad smells! Right in the middle of everything yet still country feel

Two senior citizens without family at Christmas 2025, so we decided to take ourselves to Blowing Rock, NC, for a small-town homemade Christmas. We chose the Azalea Garden Inn, a delightful return to the classic motor courts of the 1950s and beyond. If you like turning back the clock just a bit but still enjoy clean, safe and thoroughly delightful surroundings, then pack your bag and give these nice folks your American business. We are not wealthy, but we are discerning. You will not be disappointed.

If you want nice clean amenities do not stay here. The pictures in their website make the rooms look much better than what you get when you get here. The carpet in our room is a light brown carpet and is filthy and The bath towels are very straggly. The other reviews are correct in saying that it’s a quick walk to town, the owners are nice, etc., but I was very disappointed when we walked into it room. My take is that they spend more money in taking care of the outside and the grounds than they do in the inside. The outside is gorgeous with beautiful landscaping. I would not recommend.

We traveled to Blowing Rock as we explored the Blue Mountain Parkway. We found this hotel to be delightful, with a perfect location for discovering the town. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful, and we loved the traditional motel feel where you simply park at the door to the room!

I have left a review here before, but just a couple of weeks after our last stay Western NC was hit by Hurricane Helene. I am so happy to see a year later that Blowing Rock as a whole and the Azalea Garden Inn in particular are looking so beautiful!||We stayed in the same room we did last year, room 15, which is a deluxe king room on the second floor. It looked just as good and was just as comfy and cozy. And the highlight of the grounds, the patios with the fire tables, were also just as we remembered. We loved sitting out by the fire with some board games and crossword puzzles to wind down our evenings.||We have in the past chosen to stay here as one of many lovely places on Main Street within walking distance of downtown Blowing Rock's restaurants, shopping, the park and the Glen Bur
