Mayfair Hotel

This place is great. it's managed by THC and supportive family housing. My own bathtub and private bathroom and the tub is old school deep.. on site laundry and a full kitchen for residents to use till 10pm.. the staff are supper nice as well as the manager. If you stop by at night, bring an orange 🍊 soda.. the older gentlemen that work the evening shift likes them. But bring ID they don't let just anyone in.. and no you can't rent a room for the night..sorry

The Mayfair is not a traditional hotel, it has been transitioned into a SRO for adults who have been recommended to the building by one of the transitional housing programs operated in the City. Unless you come through a program there is no way to get a room here. The Mayfair is a historic hotel, very clean with spacious rooms, all of which have adjoined private bathrooms. The staff take great pride in keeping the hotel a true jewel amongst it's peers.

I can see why this hotel has terrible reviews on Yelp. I am here on Business and I was pushed out of the hotel because they overbooked which they let me know of on the day of my check-in. They re-booked me and my colleague on the other side of town so we now need to commute 1 hr back and forth to go to business meetings which is what we wanted to avoid by booking in advance! No compensation proposed even though we have extra charges for getting transit across town and price inflation due to large conferences being held currently in downtown LA. They did not offer alternatives and said to to my colleague (in-person) that if we want to be compensated, we need to talk to the manager. In other words, just email us so we can ignore you. Terrible! Stay clear of this hotel!

Its an S.R.O single resident occupancy hotel. Its not for tourists.
