I stay here very quiet owner is very nice rooms are clean despite bad reviews I've read Maybe back In the past some issues years aho but I love it here if I have to live somewhere this is definitely my go to. Nicest hotel on jd ♥

This is the worst motel I've ever been to. The roaches here are awful and the atmosphere in general is disgusting! I'm tired of walking outside to see drug dealers and prostitutes standing in the parking lot and going in and out of people's rooms. Not to mention the fighting that goes on 24/7 next door to me and no one does anything about it. And don't even get me started on the roaches. I can't even leave my bathroom light off for more than 5 minutes, or else all the roaches come out and infest the entire bathroom. And lastly, it's ridiculous how they don't allow pets, but they allow people to deal drugs and do heroin and let's prostitutes star in their rooms. Just the other month I found a syringe needle under my bed, which is really disgusting. I should call the health department and ge

After cruising US1/301 checking out the old motels, I settled on this place. I love old motels, but a lot of the Richmond area ones are too far gone for me to risk it. At first, I wasn't sure about this place, but I'm glad I stayed here.|||| This motel was built in the early '50s, and was really fancy for the time. My room was enormous, and I paid a whopping $40. It was very clean, and the carpet was practically brand-new. It had also been repainted recently. The bathroom was a great aqua green tile with salmon fixtures, and the towels were actually a grade above the scratchy dishrags most older places give you. My one quibble is that the shower head is mounted at about shoulder height. The bed was also a cut above what I had any right to expect for $40. It even had sheets that l

Ok first off i travel around the country, i have been to some run down places, but this tops all first off they say they are pet freindly. I get a pounding on my door at 9:00 at night by the rude manager saying he tried calling an no one picked up. He then said me an my roommate had too move rooms because of my dog. I shut the door to get my stuff around just to find out theres no phone in the room. We move to a nasty smelly room two days later i get ate up with bed bugs we left then with 3 days still left he gives no refunds. Beware an stay away i should of knew it was bad by the nasty matteress leaning up against the wall a true s.h.

The management will work with you if you are having financial difficulties, they are quick to fix anything when it needs fixing, no ice machine, and once in awhile cable goes out. They need to update the Xfinity boxes. Most people here live here...it's a big family, and just like any family.. there's good and bad times. 95%of time it's nice and quiet , that's pretty good for a JD motel. I consider it a historic place bc it was here before I-95.... and now I'm updating review to let people know Martha Kay has created their own history by allowing the Showtime series 'Homeland' film an episode here. They brought props to change the facade ...change the name to "The Crown Motel & Restaurant" & put a fence around a swimming pool ladder making it look like an actual pool was there . Claire D
