Marriott El Paso

Extremely disappointing stay. We pre-booked a king bed room, but upon arrival were told they only had rooms available with two queen beds. No apology, no effort to accommodate the reservation we had already secured — just “that’s what’s available.” When we got to the hallway and room, it felt very stuffy and humid. We assumed maybe the air hadn’t been running, so we left it on while we went out to dinner. After being gone for a few hours, we returned to the same stiff, humid air — it was uncomfortable and unpleasant. I contacted the front desk and was met with zero apology and an abrupt response that there were no other rooms available to switch into. A technician was sent up and changed the air filter, but that did absolutely nothing to fix the humidity issue. The room still felt damp

Please avoid this hotel! When we checked in after traveling across country all day, I wanted to take a nap. I was very surprised to find that the bed sheets were wet. This was concerning but fixable. Unfortunately, an extremely unprofessional woman named Stephanie was rude and unhelpful and made the situation far worse by making excuses and gaslighting rather than simply helping to make the situation better. I stay almost exclusively at Marriotts and usually have great experiences. However, Stephanie is a poor representative of the brand. Don’t risk staying here. Unless you’re into wet sheets and poor service. Oh, and the heat and TV in our room didn’t work.

Booked a one night stay to celebrate my sons birthday. We usually travel out of town but due to work we were unable to take a trip. He loves to stay in hotels so I thought it would be a neat idea to celebrate his birthday at the Marriott and enjoy the pool. Check in took less than 5 min, and the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly. I had requested a room by the pool, which was granted. The room was clean and steps away from the pool, which had its own small patio. The pool was warm so the kids were able to enjoy it. We had an issue with the tv channels, and when I contacted the front desk they immediately sent a technician to help. The beds were very comfortable. Horrible customer service from check-in. Front desk attendants laughing and looking at a cell phone while gossiping about some guy. Called for fresh towels the next day and after an hour NO ONE brought any up. I then recalled the front desk to get an ETA on my fresh towels and nobody answered the phone. This will be the last time I ever stay at this location. If anyone asks for recommendations on where to stay in El Paso I wouldn’t even mention this location whatsoever.

Great location, decent service on the concierge floor but hotel is very old, run down and needs some serious updating. Have stayed here several times now, and will look at other options on my next visit. Would NOT recommend!
