Maple Crest Motel

My daughter and I were travelling through eastern Canada and US and coming back to Ontario we wanted to stop at Boldt Castle. We found this little place online and are happy we chose to use it. We called ahead and let Mary know our ETA and she met us in the parking lot. What a treat dealing with her! She escorted us to our room and took our breakfast order which she delivered to the room in the morning! The rooms are very dated but also very clean! I have paid a lot more for a lot worse in the past. All in all comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast arrived at the door with a hot carafe of coffee, yogurts, bananas, breakfast bars and bagels! Very filling! Come check out time, Mary came up to the room and completed checkout there. I have never seen a hotel offer this level of servic

The owner is amazing. Very caring, wants to make sure you are doing well, and have everything you need. She is like a mother or grandmother! Does a continental breakfast and let's you know where the best places to go, deals are and how to get there!

Accommodations were Wonderful, Pleasant and filled with charm!! Mary the Owner is Hard Working and makes the stay warm and inviting!! This place is enchanting and exactly what my Title is and more! It's charming character and rustic feel is what we were looking for. Our stay was 5 days with my friend, two teenage boys and myself. We enjoyed ourselves each and everyday and Mary is a Sweetheart! It's a Close walk to Main st. Alex Bay or short drive to almost everything. We stayed at The Lodge of the motel and it was Very Clean in every way. It had a fully stocked Kitchen and towels were given when needed. Because of owner Mary and her blood sweat and tears our vacation was relaxing and fun! We will come again and refer Maple Crest for the future. I'd like to share some Pics for others

We stayed in the "chalet" for a romantic 3 day weekend, and were absolutely charmed. It is so cute, comfy, and spacious. The low price included a microwave, frig, AC, cable, and a nice little fireplace. Every morning Mary would leave a picnic cooler with breakfast items, and a pot of coffee. She was such a great hostess, and we enjoyed talking with her. And what a green thumb! The location can't be beat, quiet and just a short walk to the main drag. Wish we could find a place like this in every city we visit!

I would give this Motel a Very Good for cleanliness. Yes, the place is dated, but "Mary" the owner keeps the rooms clean and neat. Hospitality, it was like a bed and breakfast sort of, as Mary prepares coffee for you and has available breakfast foods like bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and croissants. Mary even let us use her grill and we made hamburgs one night, and she made a chef salad and sat and ate with us. She was a very friendly woman and told funny stories that made us laugh. I would recommend Maple Crest Motel as a place to stay in Alex Bay. And it's a block away from the restaurants and stores in a friendly little neighborhood. It seemed more like a B&B then a Motel.
