Capt. Thomson's Resort

This is a great place to stay. The room was clean; it had all the amenities that we would want, including a refrigerator, TV, free Wi-Fi. We even had a little balcony with a water view, which was a surprise.|The staff were informative, friendly, professional, and responsive. For example, at around 8:20 PM the first night we were there, we could not figure out how to work the TV remote; we left a voicemail on the hotel’s phone number. I figured probably that no one would hear it till the next morning. But within 10 minutes, someone was knocking on our door, who said he heard the voicemail and was here to help. |The bed pillows were very comfortable. This is a great place to stay if you are planning a tour with Uncle Sam's Boat Tours. You can leave your car parked and just walk around the end of the building. The motel is clean and we were comfortable. We also had a great view of the castle from our window. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The water views from the rooms here are gorgeous. You are right on the bay and St. Lawrence river and across from Boldt castle. The rooms also have balconies overlooking the river. We loved our visit there. The only things that would’ve been nice was if the windows in the room had screens to allow in the fresh air and sound of the river and if they offered breakfast. Town is very walkable and super cute.

We stayed with our service dog for two nights. We were warmly welcomed and felt comfort at every level. Our room was clean and comfortable, the lobby offered warm reception, answered questions and hot coffee and fresh lemon water on ice. We enjoyed our stay and all that Alex Bay had to offer. We look forward to our next visit with Captain Thompsons’s resort.

This hotel has the perfect location! Room is large and updated, entrance is from the parking lot and runs through the building to your private balcony overlooking the water. We requested back building with view of Boldt Castle - fantastic!|Staff friendly and helpful, free good coffee each morning in the office (also available in the room, but office coffee is excellent), and Uncle Sam's boat tours is next to the hotel. Good restaurant for breakfast across the street.
