Latchis Hotel

This is a hotel centrally located in downtown Brattleboro. It has a theatrical theme and has a historic movie theater attached. We stayed in a two room suite. The rooms were spacious and clean. There was no temperature control when we stayed there. The ACs were shut off and the rooms were warm. Not a bad thing if you sleep warm, but I like a cold room and was a little uncomfortable. There was a fan provided and it helped. Downstairs in the lobby is a cool coffee nook where you can sit on comfy couches and can enjoy free coffee, tea or hot chocolate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The movie theater is stunning. If you don’t take in a movie, you should at least take a peek inside. There is a small restaurant attached to the hotel as well. The menu is limited but the food was good.

Really interesting venue for a traveler who appreciates history and authentic builds. Lobby was very welcoming with vintage Christmas decor, host was very informative and pleasant. Room was comfortable and clean, the misc vinyl for surprise listening was a treat. also the views were pretty nice too. Will be back again.

What a fabulous place. The staff especially Amy the manager were amazing. 14 of us stayed here for 3 nights at the start of a bike tour. The cinema/meal ticket at $30 was a highlight, 14 English watching Downton Abbey in an American cinema and the Echo restaurant was a lovely place. We were allowed to store our bike bags (for a small fee) at the hotel which were loked after and I immensely enjoyed the central location and the environs of this art deco hotel, now managed as a trust. A place like this takes maintanance, so we were delighted to be a part of helping to keep this grand old place running.

Great location, walkable to plenty of shops and restaurants. Hotel staff are lovely. Building is cool/old/funky with similar amenities, so if that’s not your vibe, maybe this one isn’t for you. There’s no way to control temps in the room, and there’s at least 10 year old carpet in the rooms, which, let’s be honest, can we stop putting carpet in hotels please? Other than that, free parking! And did I mention the staff are lovely?

A quick overnight for our 20th anniversary. As good as our first visit, perhaps even better. Can’t beat the location, steps from all things downtown is just perfect. Plus movie theater popcorn at your fingertips. Yum! Our quiet Solarium room was so quiet that we weren’t sure if there were other guests - beyond words amazing! Amazingly friendly staff and reasonably priced rooms make for a fantastic combo! We are looking forward to our next stay. Cheers!
