1868 Crosby House

Stayed here for two nights and would have loved to stay longer! Marie is a great host and presents a lovely breakfast each morning. She takes great care to find out about her guests and their dietary requirements so breakfast can be fully enjoyed. She also gives good advice on what to do in the area, where to eat, and the best ways to travel around. The house itself is quite lovely and well kept. We stayed in the room with the Spa tub. The room itself was nicely appointed with a gas fireplace, flat screen tv and beautiful furnishings. The bed was extremely comfortable. The house has great amenities - a wonderful reading room with a mini fridge where you can keep wine, a coffee and tea table downstairs. Nice parking available on site. We stayed in the Winter Solace room for two nights in late January 2019. Maria, the innkeeper, was very friendly and offered many suggestions for dinner spots, area attractions, etc. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. The room was wonderfully comfortable and cozy with a gas fireplace to add to the ambiance. The bathroom was very clean and well-appointed with a double shower, good water pressure, and soft towels. The inn itself is beautifully decorated in the Victorian style which fits the historical era of the home. The inn is conveniently located, close to downtown Brattleboro but far enough away to avoid the traffic and city sounds. My friends threw a retirement party for me last February here and Maria, the manager, couldn't have been more charming or accommodating to me, my hosts and guests, and to the caterers. The Victorian decor and ambiance of the rooms was delightful. Even though I live in the area, I spent the night there following the party and it was wonderfully comfortable, with premium quality sheets and accoutrements. The breakfast the next morning was superb, with cinnamon-glazed pears and stuffed french toast, and great coffee! I would MOST highly recommend this B&B, with no reservations at all.

We had a wonderful stay at the gracious Crosby House. Everything about the stay went smoothly, from being greeted at check-in, the clean and nicely decorated room, to the coffee and cookies available in the parlor. The breakfast was superb, far exceeding expectations. The landscaping is lovely, the house is well maintained and clean, the decor is charming. Highly recommend!

What an amazing little bed and breakfast. Our host Maria really made the stay spectacular. She was just the right amount of warm and friendly. She made the most amazing breakfast with French toast made out of croissants. She even scraped ice off our car in the rain before we even knew it. Great experience!
