Comfort Inn & Suites Brattleboro I-91

Comfort Inn & Suites Brattleboro I-91 in Brattleboro is a good choice for overnight accommodation when visiting this corner of Vermont. Relative to other comparable area hotels this one seems to be of better value and somewhat less expensive. My king room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and functional, although upward facing surfaces could have received better and less hurried care, and the bathroom sink was very slow to drain. The shower was very nice. Service (early evening) could be a bit friendlier; it felt as though I was nuisance. The overnight clerk was very friendly, however. The location is not downtown but you certainly aren’t far from it. The convenience of being close to both Interstate 91 and Route 9 is very nice. Recommended.

Some things were good, some not so good, but nothing was bad. The dryer was out of order in the laundry, which was one of the reasons for booking the night while my home is undergoing renovations, so I had to go down the street to a laundromat, which was surprisingly decent. The ice machine was out of order on the third floor. The snack machine was empty on the second floor. There is no way to close the curtains to block out the light from the parking lot. The toilet seat refused to remain in the up position by itself. All just minor annoyances. Breakfast was very good, with a choice of scrambled eggs and sausage that day, served in a comfortable dining area with an attentive hostess. Showed up to the hotel and was turned away despite having a reservation!! When I made the reservation, I notified the hotel that I will be arriving between 10-11pm which was approved by the hotel which they notified me through the messaging on Booking.com. When I arrived at 10:50pm, the front desk staff told me that earlier in the day, they realized they overbooked for the night and they did not have a room for me to stay at. Instead of notifying me earlier in the day when the hotel realized their error (which would have given me more time to make another reservation at another place), they did nothing and waited for me to arrive and tell me in person that they did not have a room for me. Had a comfortable, quiet stay at this hotel. The Breakfast was wonderful. Was very surprised and happy to see some different coffee syrups, especially Skinny Mix! Don't remember the coffee name but they had maybe a local brand and it was wonderful. The staff was very nice.

Front desk staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good with standard fare of eggs, meat, waffles, toast, coffee, juices, yogurt and more. The breakfast was well maintained with everything being refilled before something ran out. Great job. The hotel is a bit dated in decor, but the beds were comfortable and the room size was adequate.
