La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ontario Airport

We booked the deluxe double bed room with refrigerator and microwave. The internet in the room didn’t work even after we called the front desk. They told us it just connect after following certain steps which we did several times to which no avail. My daughter went to take a shower and said there was a band-aid in the shower. We thought maybe a quick swim will be enjoyable. The moment we got down to the pool we discovered so many dead bugs in the water. The door to the pool also had tape on the lock, allowing people to come in and out as they feel free. I did not feel safe. I gave 3 stars because the stay wasn’t horrible, the complimentary breakfast was enjoyable and the beds were comfy. Overall I didn’t feel the experience was much better then a motel 6. Positive: How it looked from the outside Negative: The smoking area is right in front of the entrance. Rooms are nice but the walls are paper thin. As the night goes on you can start to smell the pet urine coming from the carpet.The hallways walking up to my room reeked of weed. Wont book again. Smh

Our AC went out, and I needed an affordable pet-friendly place for a couple of days. La Quinta was perfect, great customer service, clean rooms, and the AC super cold and quiet. The free breakfast was a nice surprise and made the stay even better. There’s a lot to do around the area, and if you’re heading to anything at Toyota Arena, definitely give La Quinta a shot. Would happily stay here again!

The bad: The first room I had was full of some kind of flying bugs most likely gnats, but there was a lot of them. The room looked clean on the surface but after further review it wasn't very clean. Mostly cobwebs and dust. The shower are fiberglass and somebody painted them and the paint was peeling off which looks terrible. The bathroom doors don't have locks and there are no vents. I then got another room for obvious reasons. The second room wasn't any better other than less bugs. Note: I didn't say there were no bugs in the second room just a lot less. The good: the room was cheap and the people at the front desk were super friendly and helpful in getting me another room. They explained that the window was probably open, which makes sense but I definitely didn't open it. The location

The safe were generally kind. The Internet was atrocious and the rooms were not squeaky clean. I like to sanitize myself but I found that a lot was overlooked and it took a long time to get towel service. The biggest concern was the evening when a dog across the hall barked continually and the staff did not prioritize the concern when I called down. The poor guy sounded like he was in distress. The hotel is conveniently located and the price is not bad considering what you get. If you just need a place to lay your head without the frills and you’re not a germaphobe, this will serve its purpose.
