Customer Reviews
We took this hotel after being stranded in New Haven during an actual blizzard. The gentleman at the desk, who may have worked 24 hours straight was kind, patient, and efficient with us when we checked in late at night, and just as friendly when he was still running the show 12 hours later. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, even if the hotel is dated and the walls are paper thin. Price seems high, but we were desperate.
We stayed here this past weekend because we were watching a show at Shubert theatre. The location was convenient in terms of being a few minutes away from the theatre, downtown, ikea and pier. We had a room facing the water which was very nice. It did overlook the highway but I didn’t notice any noise because we are used to white noise. The room was clean and updated. The bathroom was repainted and not completely renovated. Our bed, room and bathroom were clean. When we needed extra sheets and pillows, room service brought it up. The sofa bed was not comfortable as my son could feel the springs but he was able to sleep for about 7-9hrs. The breakfast was in an updated room with sausages, eggs, self service waffle, fruit mix, yogurt, applesauce, bagels, toast, cereal, oj, tea and coffee. We
My wife, our 3-month-old baby, and I stayed at this hotel while visiting family in Connecticut, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The room was filthy. It genuinely looked like it had never been cleaned. There were stains all over the walls and couch, the floors looked like they hadn’t been washed in ages, and the vent was absolutely disgusting and smelled awful. The bathroom was just as bad the walls looked like they were about to cave in, and there was derogatory writing on the sink. Completely unacceptable, especially for a place that rents rooms to families. But the worst part? We had booked multiple nights, and the hotel gave our room to someone else. A man walked straight into our room using a key they issued him. We were inside with our infant. As parent
We were on the 6th floor. The hallways were very nice and renovated, clean. The room was fine. The bathroom needed sink updated. The sink had cracks and paint like it was used to wash paintbrushes. The faucet was hard to turn on and off like adjusted too tight. Otherwise the room was fine. Clean. I upgraded to 2 queen beds. Online said upgrade for $5. But I was charged $13.80 because of fees????
Positive: Close to the train station Negative: The shower bar was literally falling off the wall from water damage. There was a rust stain in the tub and the sink and tub faucet never stopped leaking. The bed was awful as well and there was a huge Crack in the window that was "sealed"
