La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham McKinney

I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the condition of the room. From the moment I walked in, there was an unpleasant smell lingering throughout both the bedroom and bathroom, which immediately made the stay uncomfortable. The carpet was in very poor condition, with bald, worn patches that made the room look tired and neglected. The cupboards had a visible layer of grime on them, clearly showing that proper cleaning had not been done. In the bathroom, the shower plug hole was dirty and appeared to have not been cleaned in quite some time. There was also mould present on the tiles, which is completely unacceptable and raises concerns about hygiene standards. Overall, the room felt unclean and poorly maintained. Positive: The cleanliness of the hotel was amazing. Staff super friendly. Food was good at breakfast and best hotel coffee I have had in a very long time. Gladly stay again here. Negative: Honestly can't say their was anything to complain about.

I have been so torn about what review I wanted to leave but after this very last experience I just had I can confidently speak my mind without guilt. My first interaction was about 5 days ago with AJ. Very nice and accommodating. The following morning when I checked out (not knowing I would be coming back again that night and staying another 3 days) it was a different person at the front desk. He wasn't there and I needed to get to work so I started saying "hello" and eventually went to walk around the desk to see if anyone was in the back and he came from another direction and said I can't be back there (of course, understand, but I was panicking about getting to work) and said he was doing something. Terrible experience. The PM front desk clerk is rude and obnoxious. He lacks customer service skills and we will not ever return for this reason alone. We come to the Dallas area monthly to visit family and will be staying somewhere else moving forward. We have stayed at the Marriot, Hilton and Residence inn in the area. These hotels were way better and not much more expensive. Not worth saving $30-$40 for this lack of customer service

I’m in complete agreement with the other one-star reviews. They are absolutely valid. I understand this is a lower-end hotel, but the condition of this place is completely unacceptable. There are holes in the carpet, visible stains everywhere, hallways that smell strongly like smoke, and a bathtub that is literally falling apart. The service somehow makes the experience even worse. The front desk and lobby feel completely neglected, and it’s obvious no one cares about the guest experience. Staff were unhelpful and disengaged, and any sense of hospitality was nonexistent. To top it off, the so-called “hot” breakfast was served cold. At that point, it just felt like insult added to injury. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Anywhere else. This location is not worth the money or
