La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cookeville

Our first room (116) had a noisy a/c unit and an uncomfortable bed, but when we told them about it the next day the staff went above and beyond to make it right. Even with it being Christmas week, they found another room for us and that room was perfect. The location is great, you can walk to the movies and Waffle House, and the staff is fantastic. For the price point, it's an excellent hotel and we were happy with our stay.

You walk in smells clean and looks clean, up until you get to the rooms. Booked one the bathroom was awful bathtub was peeling definitely needs an update. Beds were uncomfortable aswell. The second room that was provided after telling front desk about the first room (Although the room looked better than the first one) the bed sheets had a bunch of stains, hair under the comforter. All in all I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We packed our stuff and went next door to the candlewood suites. (Rooms are a whole lot nicer and more spacious, and nobody’s hair is on the damn beds.)

Positive: I want to especially recognize hotel employees. They went over and above what would be expected of hotel staff. And I think it was one of the cleanest motels I have ever stayed in. And the patio furniture out front was an added bonus! Negative: Not your fault, but the construction right outside on that busy street made it a little more difficult to maneuver getting in and out.

The 3-star rating and the reviews were misleading for me. Very disappointed with the room and the bathroom. The breakfast was okay, but the waffle maker hadn't been cleaned properly. Noisy neighbor with a dog as well. Overall, not going back to La Quinta Inn again.

When you walk into the lobby it was clean and pretty nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, you could hear every step from the people on the 3rd floor, it didn't sound stable. The room looks like they tried to do a bunch of repairs and did it poorly. Location was convenient for what we needed. The included breakfast was not very good but there is a Waffle House next door.
