Holiday Inn Cookeville by IHG

I stayed at this location for a business trip. Excellent rooms and nice and clean and safe location. The first room i was given had multiple lady bugs all on the ceiling in the corner of the room. I was told Cookeville is having a outbreak of lady bugs and it's normal for this time of year. The lady at the front desk quickly with no issues gave me a new room that was spotless and I never seen a bug for the rest of the week I was there. I recommend this place if you need somewhere to stay that is safe and quiet. Great staff and no issues.

We were there for a celebration in their banquet room. The servers were very friendly, did an awesome job and the food was sensational. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The bar is on the rooftop. We listened to a band called Sugar Lime Blue. Wow! They were very enjoyable to listen to and the woman had a beautiful voice! So over all, it was a good experience and nice hotel.

Breakfast buffet is nothing special. Other chains offer identical buffet for free. Could not set hvac fan to run nonstop. Therefore could not drown out noise. Traffic noise from interstate and road made it difficult to sleep. Car show at Ford dealership was playing loud music...we were woken up the next morning by the boom boom of this music. Normally, we would drown out these annoyances with hvac fan. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is new and very nice. Hotel is very clean.

Overall a good experience and I'd stay again, but a few misses. The towels were so thin they were see through in places and one how dark non-optional stains. It was likely "clean" but I just don't like using something that looks dirty after my shower. The other problem was with the heater/air conditioner. Even we when turned the wall unit to off, cold air kept blowing. When we turned up the temp, it would get really hot, then cool off to the point where a lot of cold air was blowing across the bed, then once I wrapped up tight in the blankets, the heater would kick back in and we the cycle would repeat itself.

We had a great stay. Hotel was clean with comfortable beds and really good breakfast. $12.99 per adult and kids eat free.
