Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Cookeville

The location of the hotel is good but the construction is a small temp issue in the hotel. Once complete would give five stars. The service is friendly and very quick. The rooms are a good size, very clean and quiet. Have stayed twice and would stay again.

If You Need Your Money Put On Hold for Months this is Your Hotel! I went To look at Property in Tenn and The Developer put me up in this Hotel. I wasn't supposed to pay for the nights stay but I got Charged for that night then Charged again and I'm still trying to get back My Second Charge when I wasn't supposed to be charged at All! A Real Mess I must Say Then The Manager through Emails Calls Me a Liar when I told Her about the Charges! Save Your Money Stay Anywhere else!!

Positive: location Negative: The hallway and guest room had an unpleasant odor. The television in the room was not functioning, which we reported to the front desk. Our daughter found a lighter on the floor in the room, presenting a potential safety concern. Front desk was notified.

My mom & grandma stayed here for 4 days while visiting me. They have so far stayed in 2 other hotels in the area and they really like this one the best. There are only about 4 hotels in the area with indoor pools and this is one of them. The room is a nice size with a large bathroom. Their view is of the trees. They can’t hear the interstate from their room which is a major plus. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The mini fridge freezes most things even when turned down to the lowest setting. The pool is clean. A tad cold when you first get in but you get used to it. The pool starts at 3 feet and ends at 5 feet. They provide towels and they are actually fluffy. They said the continental breakfast is decent. The food they provide is hot and good and that is all they care about. The

Stayed for 4 nights the first week of December. Possibly the worst Fairfield experience I have had. 1) massive construction going on with no notice when I booked the room, 2) gym was not useable the whole stay, 3) large light above bathroom sink did not work so I could not see in the mirror, 4) bath drain was backed up and drain itself was rusty, 5) breakfast had no fruit. The hotel should let you know what is going on before you book- especially if some amenities will not be available. They should not allow hotels to get in this condition before remodeling. Rate should have been half of what I paid. I am a frequent business traveler with lots of time in Marriott properties. Highly disappointing.
