I had an absolutely amazing stay at the King George Hotel! The staff were so wonderful and kind. Even though the photos looked good I was a little worried about the rooms and amenities because it’s an older building, but they have definitely put a lot of heart and investment into upgrading things and the room was very nice and clean! Thank you so much for the lovely stay. Oh and reminder to book direct to help keep the funds local!

Wonderful stay at King George Hotel, San Francisco! We had a fantastic experience at the King George Hotel in San Francisco. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and very well located, making it easy to explore the city. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the staff — everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Abdullah, who was especially helpful and professional. He took the time to explain what attractions we should see around the city and gave us clear, practical guidance on how to use FastTrak, which saved us a lot of time and stress while traveling. His local knowledge and genuine willingness to help made a big difference in our trip. If you’re looking for a hotel with excellent service, friendly staff, and people who truly care about their guests, I

That alley is crazy at night. You hear the big city at night which is pretty cool. Old beautiful building, Staff and I mean all people that we were in contact with were very personable and very accommodating. I thoroughly loved being right down town walking distance to every thing you needed. Best cafe across the street The Pinecrest, parking garage right across the street 38 buks a night. Parking is what it is. Muni Union square a couple blocks that will take you any where you want to go in the city and connects you with the Bart to go to Oakland. The King George is an old building cheaper on the room charge then most and the rooms are what they are. If your looking for lavish this place isn't for you go to the Hilton and spend 3 times as much. It's quaint and historical. Loved it. Would

I did a LOT of research on where to stay without paying an arm & a leg and settled on the King George. It is a short walk from the BART/Muni Powell Street Station and a block off Union Square. We are an older couple (61/71) and have travelled a bit and prefer personality to sterility. The King George is more like an older European Hotel, well worn, but plenty comfortable. The reception was most welcoming, and we were offered a room on a lower floor because the elevator was not working when we arrived. We declined and got a room on the 7th floor--and of course, a bellman carried our bags up for us. The elevator was repaired the next day--in fact in a burst of perfect timing, we were the very first to use it the minute it was ready to go again. There are an abundance of eateries all around

We love this hotel and stay here every time we come to San Francisco. The hotel has an old time charm I really enjoy. Doesn't matter to me the time are smaller. Older hotel rooms were small. The staff are always friendly. The location is great for restaurants, Union Square, and several restaurants. It's an easy walk from BART. I only wish they would open the bar again.
