Kensington Park Hotel

We had a wonderful 4-night stay. This is an older building with lots of character; so, if you like modern, look elsewhere. The location is right in the heart of SF. We had a corner room with a great view of Union Square out one window, and out the other window we could see Nob Hill. The bed was very comfortable. The room is a good size with a desk, a comfortable chair for reading, a refrigerator, and coffee maker. The bathroom was tight quarters. Coffee, tea, and madeleine cookies were served in the lobby from 7:30 - 10. In the evening after 5pm, you can request a complimentary glass of sherry. The building also houses the Elks Club, a spa, and a small playhouse. Good value for this location.

Great location in a safe area, with everything within walking distance. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping everything clean. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful, which made our stay even better. No complaints at all – we truly enjoyed our time in SF!

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was in room 19 on the 6th floor. The bed was very comfortable. I would stay again. I have to say that I would prefer a room on a higher floor and not facing post street. There is a lot of noise from loading trucks and such. I think my room was really nice. I would recommend the hotel to combine the rooms 19 and 20 because you hear the door of the other room opening and closing. It could also be made into a suite with 1 bedroom helping with the noise.

What a lovely hotel with so much history. We are Elks members so this was really special as this is the oldest Elks lodge in its original building. The building is well maintained. The room was cute. Very clean. The restroom was lovely. ||The staff was especially kind. Parking was costly for us as we have an oversized vehicle, but it was convenient. Elks members receive discount. We did show our cards when checking in. ||Location is perfect. We felt safe and restaurants were convenient. ||Overall this was a great experience and will return again.
