It‘s been half a year already since I‘d been there but I still have to say that I had the best five nights of my life at your hostel! The staff was always super friendly, open and helpful and sometimes even eager to cook for you. Especially, Greg and @makeiviny were the best hosts! Showing you the most beautiful places on Kauai and throwing BBQ grill parties! I would encourage the managers to put that into the hostel‘s program of some sort, for extra and appropriate payment of course, because their cooking was amazing! Hi everybody. I have been at the hostel many times, for many years, and it always was an incredible stay - great and helpful staff, great location, just the perfect place for a solo travelling woman. Now my biggest problem is: How can I reach the hostel? All the former mail addresses are not being taken care of anymore, obviously, I want to book but.... HOW???? Great place to meet fellow travelers — I had a blast and made some awesome friends during my stay. Social vibes are top notch. The building looks like it survived a massive earthquake and was never fully repaired, which gives it a cozy “homeless shelter by the beach” vibe. Cockroaches occasionally appear in beds or unexpected places, but are mostly harmless. There seems to be no owner or actual management — the hostel basically runs itself. Staff members were mostly uninterested in helping and more focused on smoking weed, which honestly didn’t make much of a difference since it feels like they’ve just taken over the place anyway. One staff member mentioned she was carrying a knife “just in case,” which was… unsettling. Absolutely avoid giving alcohol to staff — things may escalate quic

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel! It was my first time staying at a hostel and I am really glad I did. I was welcomed by Sara who was super inviting and sweet!! I met a lot of cool people which was great because I was solo traveling. I stayed in the females only dorms which was super ideal and honestly after looking at where some other people were staying I think our room was a lot nicer. The location is ideal with the beach/bike route being right there and food spots and shops being on the other side. The only thing was there were more homeless people around this area than I thought but they were harmless (just stared quite a bit). Absolutely loved my stay at this hostel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel so welcome and at home. The atmosphere is friendly, social, and relaxed — perfect for meeting other travelers. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms and common areas. The beds were super comfy The location is also really good! If you’re looking for a safe, fun, and budget-friendly place to stay, this is the one. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thanks for an unforgettable experience!
