Customer Reviews
My daughter has a cheer competition at the Event center so we stayed at the Hyatt Hotel. I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. We had a king bed room. The room itself was actually quite large with the bed and then a chaise lounge and table. The hotel and room was clean. The Hotel was very quiet and we had no disruptions. We ordered room service which was fast and was good. Staff was courteous and helpful. We never had to wait for an elevator. It was nice that it was attached to Event center. The price of hotel was reasonable. Was very happy with our stay!
Positive: I had called to confirm their incidental charge to approve of the fee when I arrive. On checking in, I was iinformed that the fee was double from what I called to confirm with. Negative: Was efficient.
Not as great as previous times having stayed here. Nice hotel, but they definitely were not prepared for the convention. The bar was a disaster and not staffed enough. The Housekeeping person attempted entry to my room even though I had the do not disturb sign on the door and it was embarrassing because I was half-dressed at the time. The parking was convenient and not ridiculously expensive and I love the rooms because they have the vinyl plank flooring and not carpet.
Rooms are humid, AC doesn't seem to be able to keep up with the demand. Many times I was sweating and had to sleep on top of the sheets. "Pillows" were tiny square cushions. On my floor, cleaning employee yelling on the phone at 8 in the morning every day so sleeping in is not an option, you hear everything going on around you. Escalators were out of service between lobby and ballroom. Pool also out of order. Front desk personnel were pleasant and helpful. But I would not stay here again as it seems like the facility is barely holding on.
First of all, Rochester is a laid-back town come up here expecting New York City vibes. Things are different and once you can accept different, you can accept that. They are doing their best. First of all front desk. Customer service was lovely. Especially the guy with the purple hair now I’m an African-American woman and I’m gonna tell you I didn’t care too much about the dark skin African-American woman that worked the during the day because she locked the door at 6 o’clock. I had to go downstairs to let in my door dash delivery. I stayed 30 hours for work comfortable. The shuttle the van drivers are some of the nicest guys you ever been. They could upgrade the pillow on the bed get the bed was clean and uncomfortable. I had no smells in my room. My door is locked. My cable works. Wi-Fi
