Hyatt Place Detroit/Livonia

Traveling for loss of family member. Nice facility, well kept, clean, could use some upgrades in areas, moldings door framing, shower/tubs. Very helpful staff, Nice. Pretty good breakfast, Pancake 🥞 batter was runny both days, not sure what that was about. Shower curtains shld really be swapped out as well. Lastly the pool entry rail was broken, just fyi. But for a last minute trip, it work out well and satisfied out needs, thank you.

I am a Hyatt loyalist (former Globalist) and my recent stay at this hotel was very disappointing and my worst at a Hyatt in my recent memory. First the good - my room was very clean. HVAC system worked great and was quiet. Now the disappointing portion. We arrived at around 9pm on a Saturday for our one night stay. The front desk worker wasn't at their desk and incoming guests had to press "zero" on the front desk phone to try and just have it ring constantly so someone would come to check us in. We arrived after a long day hungry and were informed that no food was available, "the fryers are down". No problem, things happen. Once we got up to our room and settled in, we noticed that there was no blanket for the pull out couch, and our room had ZERO bath towels. Tried to go down to

This is a great hotel - always very clean and a wonderful staff. I stay here twice a year and find the breakfast has improved since my last visit because of small things like herbs added to the scrambled eggs and the addition of sour dough bread for toast. I love that there is now coffee available in the lobby 24/7. I'm looking forward to my next visit in May.

I was disappointed with our stay here on January 3-4. When we arrived at the front counter to check in, the attendant hardly greeted us as she had headphones in and appeared to be on FaceTime or watching videos. She did not inform us when check out was, or what time breakfast was available for the next morning. Our room was clean, pretty standard for a Hyatt. At night the room was either freezing or extremely hot as the thermostat was at the other end of the room and it had a hard time regulating the temperature. The bed linens were horrible since it only included a top sheet and a thin quilt like blanket. We were cold all night and had to use the bath towels as extra weight and layers for warmth. The breakfast was AWFUL; the "eggs" were a dry cumbly mess, potatoes were basically uncooked,
